Old Barn Recycled to a Farmhouse Console!

7:23:00 PM

This all started with our daughter in law wanting a farmhouse console for their home. As soon as she heard about the old barn tear down project, she was all in ( see the tear down project on a earlier post) This console was designed by Gary and Sharla and built by Gary over a few weeks.  Everything on this piece was made from old wood except for the base frame on the bottom and the sliding barn door hardware.

The console was challenging and somewhat of a puzzle but I think he nailed it!!  See the process below before it went to it's "forever home".  We hope this inspires you!

It all began with this beautiful old barn

Picking out just the right pieces was key to this project

Pieces picked.  Now it's time to get to work!

Gary started with the base which is the ONLY new wood.  All the other wood is from the old barn.

The back pieces were picked and cut.

It's starting to look like a piece of furniture. This is where I started getting excited.

Three sections are in place

I love this man.............

Sharla wanted chevron doors......................she got them!

Hardware and doors attached.  It's time to move this beauty to it's forever home!

We think it looks beautiful in the Harvey's home!

Just in time for football.
